...from the city of Charlotte. In less than a week's time, my wife and I will be settled in New Orleans to start the next phase of our crazy life trip. I decided to make this post a compilation of the "Best of the rest," pictures that either got overlooked or for some other reason never made it as a blog entry.
Charlotte, as a city, treated us well. My wife and I moved here sight unseen in the very beginning of our marriage. We think, retrospectively, that is was a great move because it allowed us to solidify ourselves as a couple away from the interference of outside influences. We know that the things experienced here were unique to this place and could not be duplicated anywhere else; however, we also knew that after three years it was time to move on as Charlotte ceased the be the place for us. At least for now.
New Orleans is close to family, and with us expecting our first child, that is going to be crucial for these next few years. The new place is also going to open us up to whole other universe of experiences. I can't wait to see what kind of photos I'm going to take in such a culturally eclectic city. I wonder what other artistic awakenings my wife and I will have? How in world is being parent going to affect my world perspective. The possibilities are too numerous to ponder, but I will welcome them one by one. Life. Drink it in. It always goes down smooth.
