It is a look of resolve. A look of acknowledging the sometimes frightening but often exciting roller coaster of matrimony. She embraces the challenge and is looking to excel. The dress, the bouquet, the ceremony is all show for the family and friends. They want to feel like they are a part of her soon to be union somehow, and instead of telling them all about their self-important ambitions, she indulges them with the pomp and circumstance of a wedding ceremony. Even the pictures are for everyone else. She knows that once the "I do" is said and after the last person leaves the reception, it will be her and him. And it will always be her and him.
